Special Interviews from the Editor of the Journal of Health Care Finance...

James Unland
As our readers are aware we have, as an editorial policy, taken a strong interest in
the future ability of our nation's community hospitals to access capital.  This feature
is part of an ongoing series of articles and audio interviews relating to hospitals' access to capital.

During the fall of 2003 a collaboration of organizations--the Healthcare Financial Management Association,
GE Healthcare Financial Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP--launched a year-long series of
studies called "Financing the Future" which will result in a series of reports, the first two of which are available.
James Unland, Editor of the Journal of Health Care Finance, recently had the opportunity to interview
Richard L. Clarke, President and CEO of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and
Randy Fuller, Hospital Segment Manager for GE Healthcare Financial Services.

NOTE: Material on this and related subjects will be presented in the HFMA Chicago Chapter's Feb. 19 Program

Listen to the Interview with Dick Clarke and Randy Fuller regarding the recent report segments of "Financing the Future."   Get Information about the first two reports of "Financing the Future."

Note: The first guest speaker is Dick Clarke who follows the topic's introduction by James Unland. The phone connection was not ideal for Dick's remarks but they are definitely worth hearing! The audio quality phone connection for Randy Fuller was very good.  You may need to adjust the volume on your computer's speakers accordingly.
Listen to the Interview with Ann Filiault and Sandy Lutz of the PricewaterhouseCoopers team working on this
groundbreaking study, for their perspectives on the study itself as well as their original research and surveys that are being done.

but remember that you are likely to have this player already.
If you do need the player, when going to that web page just pick the player that
corresponds to your operating system
and remember that most newer computers already come with this player !
